This week on the Friday News Update:
- Apple announces the iPhone Xs and Xs Max, a 6.5" version of the Xs, both with a new gold colour, up to 512GB of storage and Depth Control, starting at £999 and £1099 respectively
- Apple also announces the cheaper £750 iPhone Xr, with most of the same features as the Xs but with 6 colours and a 720p LCD... in 2018.
- The Apple Watch Series 4 is announced, with thinner bezels round a bigger screen, Fall Detection and the ability to do ECGs straight from the watch
- The OnePlus 6T will have an in-screen fingerprint sensor but... no headphone jack?
- Qualcomm finally announces a new smartwatch processor, the Snapdragon Wear 3100, with improved battery life
- Huawei will announce its folding phone within the next year
- The LG V40 ThinQ will be announced on the 4th of October
