Episode 59 (11th January 2019): LG's innovative new TV is ready to roll at CES 2019
This week on the Friday News Update:
- Cybic announce the Legend range of smart bikes at CES 2019, with a screen for maps and directions, a music player and Alexa built-in
- Nvidia announce the new RTX 2060 graphics card, giving you ray-tracing tech for an affordable price, and that their RTX graphics cards are coming to laptops
- ASUS announce the ROG Mothership gaming laptop, one of the first laptops with an RTX graphics card, featuring a detachable keyboard, a 17" Full HD 144Hz screen and an Intel i9 processor
- Mui announce a smart... plank of wood, with a touchscreen that lets you check the news and weather, send messages and talk to the Google Assistant
- LG announce the Signature OLED TV R, a 65" 4K OLED TV that rolls up into a box, as well as an 88" 8K OLED TV, Alexa and AirPlay support for their TVs
- Samsung TVs get an iTunes Movies and TV Shows app, AirPlay support and support for control through Alexa and the Google Assistant
- Sony announce huge 85" and 98" 8K TVs and AirPlay support for their TVs
- The Google Assistant gets new features and a smart alarm clock from Lenovo, the Lenovo Smart Clock
- Xiaomi's Redmi, now a spin-off brand, announce the unbelievable Redmi Note 7, with a 48MP camera, a Snapdragon 660 and a 4000mAh battery for the equivalent of £115
- HTC announce the Vive Pro Eyes headset with eye-tracking, a new Viveport Infinity subscription and tease an easier-to-use Vive Cosmos headset
- Samsung announce that the Galaxy S10 will be announced at a Galaxy Unpacked event on the 20th of February
